Requests for ESA documentation

I understand how important animals can be in providing comfort and companionship. However, in order to provide an ESA letter, professional ethics and legal guidelines require:

  • A current mental health diagnosis that meets DSM-5-TR criteria, connected to significant distress or impairment in daily life.

  • An active therapeutic relationship, including sessions and a treatment plan focused on this specific purpose.

  • Follow-up appointments to evaluate the ongoing benefit of the ESA.

Due to my current status in my licensure journey, I am not able to provide this letter. If you need an ESA letter, I recommend connecting with a licensed provider who can conduct a current evaluation and provide the necessary documentation.

If you’d like, I can provide referrals to qualified professionals who can assist you.
